109,000 Swiss francs (about 80,000 euros) was paid for 6 bottles of one of the most coveted wines in the world, “awarded” 100 / 100 by Robert Parker. An Asian buyer spent this amount for a case of Hermitage La Chapelle, vintage 1961. The auction was held at Christie’s in Geneva. The lucky and wealthy buyer, who wished to remain anonymous, appointed an auction house official to bid for the lot, which was estimated at 60,000 francs.
