The great names of world fashion return to weave the way with the top names of Italian wine, in the edition no. 10 of “La Vendemmia” in Via Montenapoleone, in the quadrilateral of Milanese fashion, on stage from October 7 to 13, independent and historical event signed by the association MonteNapoleone District.
Many appointments, many on stage in the new “Casa Vendemmia” at Palazzo Clerici, including a Forum on “Fashion and Wine” that compares Italy and France, a charity auction of wines of the Great Cru of Italy and an art exhibition, organized with Dynamo Camp, in an event that combines excellence and luxury, involving also the best restaurants and five-star luxury hotels in the city. In addition to the one hundred "exceptional pairs": from Alberta Ferretti with Zenato to Damiani with La Collina Dei Ciliegi, from Dolce & Gabbana with Donnafugata to Emilio Pucci with Castello di Fonterutoli, from Ermenegildo Zegna with Ferrari to Etro with Contadi Castaldi, from Fratelli Rossetti with Berlucchi to Giorgio Armani with Gruppo Terra Moretti (Bellavista, Petra, Contadi Castaldi, Sella & Mosca) to Gucci and Tom Ford with Ca' del Bosco, from Hogan with Nonino to Loro Piana with Marchesi di Barolo, from Moncler with Tenuta San Leonardo to Montblanc with Barone Pizzini, from Pinko with Castello Banfi to Sergio Rossi with Venica & Venica, from Tod's with Umani Ronchi to Valentino with Prunotto, from Van Cleef & Arpels with Rocca di Frassinello to Venini with Masi, from Canali with Castello della Sala Marchesi Antinori to Banner with Leone De Castris, from Berluti with Allegrini to Borsalino with Luce della Vite (Frescobaldi), from Missoni with Zaccagnini to Stuart Weitzman with Villa Sandi, from Bagatti Valsecchi Museum with Altemasi Trentodoc to Akris with Bertani, from Porsche with Tenute Col d'Orcia to Tiffany with Poggio al Tesoro (Allegrini), just to name a few.
“With La Vendemmia we renew once again - declared Guglielmo Miani, president of MonteNapoleone District - our desire to celebrate the happy marriage between the world of fashion and wine, two pillars of Made in Italy”. “The love for beauty and research, between tradition and innovation, that can be felt in the streets and boutiques of the Milanese Quadrilateral, are enhanced during the week of La Vendemmia, one of the events that contributes to increasing the prestige of Milan at the international level”.
La Vendemmia 2019 will see the boutiques of Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea, Via Verri, Santo Spirito, Via Gesù, Via Borgospesso, Via Bagutta and Via della Spiga come alive, participating for the second consecutive year, and, for the first time, also Via San Pietro all'Orto.
Among the most significant events, to be reported is the exhibition of Dynamo Art Factory, on stage on October 8 and 9, at Palazzo Clerici, with works of art created by contemporary artists in Limestre with children and young people suffering from serious diseases. The works can be purchased with a donation to support the activities of Recreational Therapy of the non-profit organization.
After a session of sensory analysis of truffles by the Centro Nazionale Studi Tartufo, thanks to the partnership with the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba, on Tuesday October 8 (6:30 pm), in the Sala Tiepolo, it will still be time for “charity”, linked to wine with the charity auction "Italian Masters", organized by MonteNapoleone District together with the Great Cru of Italy, led by Valentina Argiolas, who brings together 100 of the most prestigious wineries in Italy, which will be beaten by Christie's, with the proceeds from the sale of special bottles for vintage and format, vintage and collectible, as well as a lot of white truffle of Alba and three works of art made for Dynamo Art Factory (which will then be entirely donated to Dynamo Camp).
On Wednesday, October 9 ( 5:30 p.m.), there will be the Forum “Fashion, wine and art. Italy and France in comparison”, with a comparison between the models of excellence of the two countries, while the “Wine tasting” of the Great Italian Cru is scheduled for Friday, October 11 (Hotel Four Seasons).
In addition, throughout the week, Milanese and tourists can book, at the special price of 35 euros for lunch and 60 euros for dinner, some of the most famous restaurants in the center of Milan, thanks to the menu "La Vendemmia", combined with a glass of wine. Special “La Vendemmia” packages, which give the right to the VIP Pass to access all the events scheduled, are, however, offered by the five-star luxury hotels in Milan, linked to MonteNapoleone District. The Wine Experiences of Baglioni Hotel Carlton, Bulgari Hotel Milano, Grand Hotel et de Milan, Mandarin Oriental Milan, open to all those who wish to reserve a truly exclusive wine tasting, subject to a fee.
And there is more: with the “Discovering” initiative, it will be possible to visit three jewels that are in the heart of the city: a journey through time in terms of hospitality on Wednesday October 9 in the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum (where there will be also a “tasting in the dark” of the wines of Cavit), in Via Gesù 5, while on Saturday October 12 in the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, in Via Manzoni 12 and Sunday October 13 in the Gallerie d'Italia in Piazza Scala 6.
And finally, in the boutiques, on Friday and Saturday, VIP Pass holders can enjoy the “Shopping Experience” sipping a glass of wine, accompanied by dedicated "sales assistant", and they can also book "Winery Tour" to visit some of the most prestigious Italian wineries, or participate in the "Truffle Tour" with the search for truffles with the trifulau offered by the Ente Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba, which organizes the 89th edition from October 5 to November 24.
A full calendar of events, with a preview on Thursday October 3, for the tasting, by invitation, at the Museum of Science and Technology, “Best Italian Wines Gambero Rosso”, organized with Gambero Rosso.
