TOP ITALIAN CHEFS DUET WITH AMERICAN COLLEAGUES FOR THE 4TH EDITION OF THE CULINARY EVENT "IDENTITY NEW YORK", ON STAGE AT EATALY IN THE BIG APPLE FROM OCTOBER 4TH-6TH. EXPO 2015 IS THE THEME OF THE EVENT

Italian chefs duet with American colleagues in the kitchen for 4th edition of "Identity New York," the culinary festival on stage at Eataly in the Big Apple from October 4th to 6th. The main theme of the event is the Expo flavors, the Universal Exhibition dedicated to the exchange of ideas, projects, products and techniques, which will be in Milan in 2015 and the theme will be "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life". And the comparison between different cultures will once again be the "leitmotiv" of "Identity New York", which will see the chefs competing with 6 basic ingredients: eggs, tomato, cod, cheese, pasta and rice, as a common starting point to present their culinary expression and creativity.
So Davide Scabin will face Mario Batali on pasta, Massimo Bottura and Daniel Boulud on eggs, Carlo Cracco and Matthew Lightner will discuss rice, Moreno Cedroni and Dave Pasternack will work on cod, Mauro Uliassi and Sara Jenkins will use the tomatoes while Viviana Varese and Jeremy Bearman will talk about cheese. two gala dinners are scheduled in Eataly’s Brewery: October 4th Mario Batali is the host for the evening that will see Cesare Battisti for the welcome, Mark Ladner for starters , David Scabin for pasta, Mauro Uliassi and Carlo Cracco for the fish entrees and Katia Delogu, pastry chef of Eataly NY, for desserts.
