There are dozens of celebrities, actors, singers, directors and entrepreneurs that invest in Italian wineries. It is much more rare, instead, to hear about them selling their vineyards. The newest case, as the UK magazine "The Drink Business" reports, is the former leader of Simply Red's Mick Hucknall who is selling his estate "The Singer" and has listed the cellar and two acres of terraced vineyards on Mount Etna, for around 650.000 euros, according to a statement by the agency Engel & Völkers that is in charge of the sale.
The property, which dates back to 1760, evidenced by an inscription preserved in the museum that also houses presses and tools for wine production dating back to the 19th century, was purchased from Hucknall in 2000.
