Tenute Piccini, one of Italy leading wine families, rooted in Tuscany yet owning estates across several of the country most renowned wine regions from north to south, has been named among the “Export Champions 2026”, an award promoted by Sace, the Italian Export Credit Agency owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Forbes Italia. The recognition celebrates companies that have made exports and internationalization a strategic driver of growth, innovation, and competitiveness, contributing to the success of made in Italy around the world. The Tuscan wine group received the award in the “Agrifood Export Champion” category, joining the 58 outstanding businesses selected in the initiative inaugural edition. The award acknowledges Piccini international growth journey, with the company now present in more than 90 countries, as well as its commitment to promoting Italy winemaking heritage worldwide.
This growth has been built over time through a strategy which combines strong local roots, the enhancement of denominations, and the ability to respond to the dynamics of global markets. A path that has helped strengthen the Group position among the leading players in the Italian wine sector, particularly in Chianti DOCG and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG denominations.
“Receiving this recognition from Forbes Italia and Sace - declared Mario Piccini, ceo of the Piccini Group - is a source of great pride and confirms the work our company has carried out over the years. Internationalization has always been a fundamental component of our strategy. Being present in more than 90 countries means bringing not only our wines, but also the history, culture, and identity of the territories they come from. In an increasingly more competitive global market, we believe the strength of made in Italy lies precisely in its ability to innovate without losing touch with its roots. This award recognizes the efforts of our entire team and encourages us to continue our growth journey in international markets”.
