A refined dialogue between the world of luxury and the finest expressions of wine and gastronomy: from October 5th to 11th, Milan will once again host “La Vendemmia” by MonteNapoleone District, now in its edition No. 17. This citywide event brings together Italian and international luxury boutiques with some of Italy most prestigious wineries, showcasing their most iconic labels. From Ceretto, in partnership with Casa Conte, to Il Borro together with Ferragamo, from Villa Bucci with Intimissimi, to Diesel Farm with Marni, from Cottanera and Pietradolce with Damiani, to Contadi Castaldi with Piquadro, from Villa Santi with Sant Ambroeus, from Masottina hosted by Alice + Olivia, to Fonzone with Kinaura Rigenerative Institute, from Umani Ronchi with Roger Vivier, to Josetta Saffirio with Jil Sander, from La Scolca with Larusmiani, to Mack & Schuhle Italia with Brun Fine Art, from Allegrini with Doucal, to Trendodoc Altemasi at the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum. Additional venues include Camigliano at the Park Hyatt, Ruffino and Passopisciaro at Portrait Hotel, and Tenuta Masciarelli at The Carlton Milano, to name just a few. Through exclusive tastings, signature cocktails and special menus created by leading chefs, the event offers a unique opportunity to experience Milan identity through a journey that blends creativity, culture and savoir-faire, while also involving the city luxury hotels and a network of 24 restaurants.
The streets of the Quadrilatero della Moda will be transformed into an extraordinary urban vineyard stretching from Via Montenapoleone and Via Sant’Andrea, through Via Verri, Via Santo Spirito, Via Gesù, Via Bagutta and Via San Pietro all’Orto, all the way to Corso Matteotti. Vines, leaves, flowers and grape clusters, reinterpreted in a pop-surrealist style, will interact with architecture, façades and shop windows through three-dimensional installations, suspended elements and large-scale, vividly coloured scenography. This transformation will create an unprecedented landscape where nature, design and wine culture converge, merging the aesthetics of the harvest with the District international identity and offering an immersive journey dedicated to art and creativity.
Among the event highlights, there is the traditional charity auction “Italian Masters”, taking place on 6 October at Palazzo Bovara and conducted by Christie’s Italia in support of Dynamo Camp. The auction will feature 30 lots of rare historic and collectible bottles selected from the prestigious collection of the Comitato Grandi Cru d’Italia. The event will also include a special moment dedicated to truffles, another symbol of Italian gastronomic excellence.
All proceeds will go toward supporting the projects of Dynamo Camp, whose mission is to uphold the right to happiness for children and young people living with serious or chronic illnesses, neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities, as well as for their families. On October 8th, the boutiques of the Quadrilatero will welcome guests for a cocktail reception, creating a unique shopping experience enhanced by a curated selection of Italian and international wines.
The program will continue on October 9th at the Four Seasons Hotel with the traditional tasting event “Solo per veri intenditori” (For True Connoisseurs Only), an exclusive opportunity to discover and sample premium labels selected by the members of the Comitato Grandi Cru d’Italia.
Extending La Vendemmia beyond the boundaries of the Quadrilatero, 24 leading Milanese restaurants will participate with a special “Menu Vendemmia”, a culinary experience celebrating the encounter between fine dining and wine culture. The menus will feature dishes specifically designed to complement a selection of Italian and international wines. Among the city outstanding restaurants involved in La Vendemmia are Marchesi 1824, Bice Milano, Ristorante Berton, Ristorante Sadler, Sant Ambroeus, and da Niko, the new restaurant by chef Niko Romito inside the Bvlgari Hotel Milano.
“La Vendemmia has become a landmark event for MonteNapoleone District and each year marks the start of Milan autumn season - explains Guglielmo Miani, president of MonteNapoleone District, the association representing more than 130 global luxury brands - it is a moment when shopping, fashion, wine and fine dining come together to create an experience of lifestyle and conviviality, embodying the savoir-faire that makes Milan unique. The event places the Quadrilatero at the centre of the spotlight, engaging both Italian and international audiences and showcasing the city style and identity through a rich exchange of experiences and influences”.
