With the Puente Alto 2016 by Viña Almaviva (Chilean wine born from the joint venture between the myth of Bordeaux Château Mouton-Rothschild and the giant of Chile, Concha y Toro) at no. 10, and the Bin 798 2017 by Penfols, top brand of Australian wine, at no. 9, the “count down” has opened and, from today to Friday, November 15, will reveal the top 10 wines of the “Top 100” 2019 of “Wine Spectator”, the most coveted among the international wine rankings (Monday, November 18 the complete list). Which, in 2018, saw the triumph of Italy, with Sassicaia 2015 of Tenuta San Guido at no. 1, the Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 of Castello di Volpaia at no. 3, and Etna San Lorenzo 2016 of Tenuta delle Terre Nere of Marco de Grazia, at no. 9, among the top 10 wines, and with 19 Italian labels in the rankings. A difficult exploit, but not impossible, to repeat, for the wine of the Belpaese, beloved in the States.
