195.000 DOLLARS FOR 12 LITERS: IT IS NOT THE ABSOLUTELY MOST EXPENSIVE WINE IN THE WORLD, BUT IT CERTAINLY IS VALUABLE. IT IS A BALTHAZAR (12 liters) OF CHATEAU MARGAUX 2009 ON SALE IN A SHOP AT DUBAI AIRPORT...

It is not the absolutely most expensive wine in the world, at least in value "per liter". Just think of the bottle of Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1869 sold by Christie's for 170.000 Euros in Hong Kong in 2010, or the 1811 Chateau d'Yquem sold at the Ritz in London for 75.000 Sterling Pounds by the Antique Wine Company in 2012, or the 6 liters of Cheval Blanc 1947 sold in Geneva for almost 225.000 euros. Or, Penfolds "Ampoule", limited edition of its most important wine "Block 42", "bottled" in 12 vials for 168.000 US dollars each. But it is certainly a remarkable piece and, "at hand": 195.000 US dollars for a Balthazar (12 liters) of Chateau Margaux 2009 on sale at the Dubai airport...
