Today’s regulations for flying no longer allow wine lovers to carry on their bottles of wine they have acquired during travels but must check-in their precious liquids, with a good chance that the bottles will break sometime between the on-flight luggage compartment and the carousel in the airport of arrival.
Statistics demonstrate, however, that at least 4-5 million tourists visit Italy each year and about 45% of them return from their travels with food and wine as souvenirs. This means that many bottles are taking the check-in chance. Several airlines (like the American Southwest, Continental, and Spirit) have, in fact, now made it mandatory to pack alcoholic beverages precisely because of the high breakage risk. And due to these difficulties, it appears that about 25% of wine enthusiasts renounce wine acquisitions precisely because they don’t know how to transport them.
But, finally, there is a solution: the Winediaper by Idea-Mia. Wine enthusiasts can now fly with their bottles of wine without worry because the Winediaper offers impact protection, temperature control, and guarantees total liquid absorption if the bottle does eventually break. Made with super-absorbent materials and zip-lock seal, the Winediaper is light and easy to carry, and can be re-used whenever necessary.
