BRUNELLO 2009 AWARDED 4 STARS. THE CELEBRATIVE PLAQUE WAS SIGNED BY THE BROTHERS TADASHI AGI AND OKIMOTO SHU, CREATORS OF THE FAMOUS JAPANESE COMIC “THE DROPS OF GOD”

The wine might not be “Drops of God” but it sure is close: the 2009 vintage of Brunello of Montalcino was awarded 4 stars, just one step away from excellence (5 stars), at the 2010 edition of “Benvenuto Brunello”.
This year we are celebrating 30 years of DOCG for the great Tuscan red. To celebrate the last harvest rating, the traditional plaque (as shown in WineNews photo), which will be posted tomorrow in the historic town hall, was signed by the brothers Tadashi Agi and Okimoto Shu, among the greatest creators of Japanese comic books and authors of the hit wine manga series “The Drops of God”, which in Japan alone has sold 4,600,000 copies.
