HERE ARE THE NOMINATIONS FOR THE “2010 WINE STAR AWARDS” GIVEN BY “WINE ENTHUSIAST”, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT WINE MAGAZINES IN THE WORLD. FOR ITALY, MASTROBERARDINO, LIBERA TERRA AND PROSECCO

Among the nominations for the ”2010 Wine Star Awards”, the prestigious prize awarded by Wine Enthusiast, one of the most important and popular wine magazines abroad, Italy is represented by the Mastroberardino winery, which helped the revival of Irpinian wines in the world and by the Sicilian wine project Libera Terra, one of the most important anti-mafia activities, which administers and makes lands confiscated from the mafia productive again. Prosecco, now a global success is among the nominees for region of the year. The special “Lifetime Achievement Award”, which in the past, among others, went to John Mariani (Castello Banfi, Montalcino) and Piero Antinori (Antinori), has not yet been announced.
