WORK IN DOWNING STREET, VACATION IN THE VINEYARDS OF TUSCANY: AFTER THE FORMER PREMIER TONY BLAIR VACATIONED AT THE CUSONA ESTATE (SAN GIMIGNANO), DAVID CAMERON CHOSE THE PETROLO ESTATE (VALDARNO) FOR HIS SUMMER HOLIDAYS… WITH A GLASS OF GOOD WINE

Tuscany and wine is a couple that still wins over the hearts of the British. The former Prime Minister Tony Blair spent his summer holidays at the Cusona Estate in San Gimignano and his successor, David Cameron, continued the tradition: The leader of the British Government chose the Petrolo Estate, in Valdarno, to relax on the 272 hectares of land, of which there are 19 hectares of olive groves and 31 of specialized vineyards. One of the brands, “Torrione” gets its name from the tower of the medieval fiefdom “Galatrona”, which also included the Estate and today is the property of the Sanjust Bazzocchi family.

So, it seems that the British Prime Ministers have introduced a new tradition: they work in the London fog at Number 10 Downing Street, and vacation in the vineyards of Tuscany.
