Another great Italian winemaker has left us: Giuseppe Quintarelli has died at 74 years old. He was one of the founding fathers of Valpolicella’s Amarone. He believed in and was tied to tradition and the territory. His high quality wines (Amarone is produced only in ideal years) helped raise worldwide prestige of the great red wines from Verona, characterized by unique hand-written labels, which distinguishes them in this hi-tech era.
