The Ministry of Agriculture Decree n. 8997 dated April 16, 2012, officially opened the 2012-2013 national call for projects for the promotion of Italian wine in non-European countries eligible for CMO wine funding. The projects must be submitted by June 11, 2012.
There are 82 million euros available: 24.7 million managed at national level and 57.6 million from the regions, which however have not yet made their calls. Among the regions Veneto is at the top (8.3 million euros) followed by Sicily (7), Tuscany (6.3), Piedmont (6.1), Puglia (5.7) and Emilia Romagna (5. 6). At somewhat of a distance, Lombardy (2.4 million), Abruzzo (2.2) and Friuli Venezia Giulia (2 million). Lazio at 1.7 million is ahead of Sardinia and Campania (1.6 million each), Marche and the Autonomous Province of Trento (1.5), and Umbria (1.1). Under one million, the Province of Bolzano and the regions Calabria, Molise, Basilicata, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta.
