The land of the Maya beats the Belpaese on the web: "Mexican food" is the most googled keyword in the world of food: Italy has to settle for second place, followed by Japan, France and China. But where do Made in Italy food lovers come from? Surprisingly, the country that clicks "Italian food" the most is Australia, while the second country most interested in Italian food is the USA, and Singapore is third. These are the results of the survey conducted by Food140, the first Blogger Academy of information and training for food bloggers (www.food140.it).
Since 2004 the interest in various nations’ cuisine has changed quite a lot: interest for Mexican food has remained the same and keeps growing, which should give food bloggers pause for reflection mainly because it indicates a trend that is typical of Anglo-Saxon countries, but the love for Mexican food will probably soon arrive in Italy, too. It is also clear that the greatest interest in Italian cuisine comes from Australia.
