The combination art and wine enriches the encounter between two big names: the Lunelli family and the famous ''Carapace'' by Arnaldo Pomodoro together in the new winery of their Castelbuono Estate in Montefalco
Wine & architecture, a close link that often transforms wineries into true cathedrals of wine, where form is not an end in itself, but becomes a place designed especially for production, in a space of welcoming and culture in the sign of Bacchus.
There are many examples in the world and in Italy, from North to South, where big names in wine have linked their names to top architects, and not only (the last in order of time, "Carapace" by Pomodoro for the Lunelli family ‘s Castelbuono Estate in Umbria). This union was also celebrated at the international contest "Spazio diVino", sponsored by the Order of Architects of Rome with the National Institute of Architecture and Gambero Rosso. The best project already implemented combining modernity and recovery of historic structures, comes from Spain, designed by the Barozzi Veiga studio for the study center for the Promotion of Doc Ribera del Duero (photo above). The best project in the making, however, comes from the Rdm Studio for Anfosso Winery in Piedmont (photo below).
