NOT EVEN ONE ITALIAN ON THE LIST OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE WINES IN THE WORLD: ON THE "WINE SEARCHER" TOP 50 FRANCE DOMINATES ON THE WEB WITH 37 BURGUNDY WINES. ON "ITALY'S TOP 50" VENETO AND PIEDMONT ARE AHEAD OF TUSCANY

Not even one Italian among the most expensive wines in the world: according to the Top 50 compiled by "Wine Searcher", the most visited site in the world by wine lovers who want to find prices and rates, which analyzed the average selling price of 6 million wines on 42.000 e-commerce sites, France dominates, thanks mainly to the wines of Burgundy that had 37 bottles in the standings (only 3 Bordeaux wines, though, as their popularity among top wines is in free fall). The most expensive of all is Richebourg Grand Cru by Henry Jayer, cuvee of Côte de Nuit sold, on average, at 16.193 US dollars per bottle, followed by the legendary Grand Cru Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (12.527 dollars average price) and of the five German wines in the standings, the Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Egon Muller Scharzhof in Moselle, distanced by the leading pair and sold at an average price of US$ 6.934.
