GOODBYE TO COOKING? NESTLÉ LAYS THE GROUNDWORK FOR FOOD IN THE FUTURE: 110 SCIENTISTS ARE WORKING ON THE "IRON MAN" PROJECT. THE GOAL IS A MACHINE THAT ANALYZES PEOPLE’S NUTRITIONAL NEEDS AND CREATES AD HOC FOOD PILLS

Among the big names in the food industry worldwide (a very small club that controls almost all of the products consumed by the masses), Nestlé is laying the groundwork for food supplies in the future.zBR>
The Nestlé project seems to be straight out of a science fiction movie. It's called "Iron Man" and there are 110 scientists working on it at the Nestlé Institute of Health Science. The project aims to create a nutritional program that analyzes deficiencies in people’s diets, creating customized supplements that make up for any deficiency and make food, as we know it today, virtually useless and obsolete. The program is still far from becoming a reality, but who knows, our great-grandchildren might eat pills, and cookbooks might become curious antiques.

According to the Director of the Nestlé Institute of Health Science, Ed Baetge, "Iron Man is an analysis of what is lacking in our diets that will instantly create a customized product that helps meet our needs. In the past, food was just food. We're going in a new direction, but the realization of such technology is still generations away. I'm confident that sooner or later food will arrive at the push of a button, and if we are successful, it will be a revolution comparable only to that of the microwave".
