It is the compass for millions of travelers around the world and now TripAdvisor (www.tripadvisor.it), the largest portal of restaurant and hotel reviews in the world, has its own ranking of the best "Travelers’ Choice Fine Dining Restaurants". The top 25 list, that apart from the often Michelin "starred" ones (with some exceptions), establishes the dominance of Spain and France, each with 6 restaurants at the top, followed by the United Kingdom with 4, and Denmark with 2, while it is not a success for Italy, as the sole representative of Italian cuisine is "Quintessenza " in Trani, at number 25, the bottom of the list. Spain, the UK and France shared the podium with the legendary (and "three stars") "El Celler de Can Roca" in Gerona at number one, followed by "Midsummer House" in Cambridge (two "stars") and "Maison Lameloise" Chagny (three stars). The domination continues with "El Club Allard" in Madrid at number 4, followed by '"Epicure" in Paris at 5, and "Le Manoir Aux Quat 'Saisons" in Great Milton at 6. Then, "Le Gavroche" in London at number 7, the "Martin Berasategui" in San Sebastian at 8, while the only exceptions to the “rule” in the top 10 are "Geranium" in Copenhagen at 9, and "Diverxo" in Madrid at ten. Besides the classic fine dining destinations there are some less frequent cities and countries, such as the "Funky Gourmet" in Athens, "La Maison Fleurie" in Limassol, Cyprus, "The Alcron" in Prague, and "Costes" in Budapest.
