FORTY SIGNATURE MENUS BY TWO AND THREE STARRED CHEFS FOR MOTORISTS TRAVELING IN ITALY. THE MICHELIN GUIDE LAUNCHED THE PROJECT TO SUPPORT "WORLD ROAD SAFETY WEEK" UNTIL MAY 10

Safety at the wheel and good food travel together with signature menus created by 40 Michelin Guide starred chefs. Michelin is linked to the motor world as well as to the food world.

This year for "Global Road Safety Week" announced by the UN, from today, until May 10th, Michelin asked the chefs of two and three-star restaurants to create a tasting menu to offer on their premises to motorists, demonstrating the pleasure of the palate and driving can go together.

Seven three-star chefs and 33 two-star chefs have participated in the initiative preparing dishes that combine creativity and taste with lightness, indispensable to those who are going to have to continue the journey.

The menu of the day is fish, with 13 typical Italian regional flavors, linking local traditions to the most unusual and exotic flavors. Wine, in moderation, is on the table, paired with the menu served and, in some cases, natural juices, nectars and quality water will also be offered.
The choice of two or three star Michelin restaurants is not accidental. These are the restaurants that stand out to travelers and their stars mean: two stars, " worth a detour", and three, " the food is worth the trip “.

But, that’s not all, because the main stars of the Third United Nations Global Road Safety Week will also be children: #SaveKidsLives is the ONU hashtag and motto, shared by Michelin, to raise awareness about the thousands of children victims of accidents on the road that every day are injured or lose their lives. The initiative will end on May 10th in Livorno, where the Michelin Man will invite everyone to take a #Selfie with #SaveKidsLives and post it to their Facebook profile tagging Michelin Italy.
