Wine is versatile: you can (and should) drink it, use it for beauty treatments, paint with it and now you can write with it. Thanks to the 44.000 US dollars collected on "Kickstarter" (www.kickstarter.com), the "Wink Pen", a refillable pen, with wine, of course, will soon be on the market. At least hypothetically, any liquid that has coloring properties can be used as an alternative and sustainable refill to ink.
The idea of the ‘Wink Pen’, explained its inventor, the designer Jess Chan to The Drinks Business "(www.thedrinksbusiness.com) “came from the idea of creating a sustainable alternative to an object that many of us use routinely in our daily lives. Most traditional pens are disposable products. Once the ink is finished their remains a piece of plastic that will just be thrown out and further pollute the world. The next refill for the "Wink Pen", instead, might be in your kitchen”.
The pen, which will go on sale at around 60.00 US dollars, also comes with a reversible glass nib that can be used for fine writing and calligraphy. The project, as mentioned, has so far raised 44.000 US dollars (the goal is 47.000, ed.), with 600 supporters, who should find the "Wink Pen" for sale starting in July.
