AFTER MONTHS OF CONTROVERSY AND DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE FATE OF THE DOMAINS .VIN AND .WINE, THE FIRST WINE DENOMINATION HAS A SITE: SHERRY.WINE IS THE NEW PORTAL NAME OF "JEREZ-XERES-SHERRY"

After months of controversy, negotiations and information on the fate of the domains .vin and .wine, the first wine denomination to use the .wine domain is www.sherry.wine, which is the new portal name of “Jerez -Xeres-Sherry” and perhaps the most famous dessert wine in the world.
“Do Jerez is the first designation of origin in the world to use the new top-level domain ".wine", marking an important evolution for its already strong portal on the web, "Sherry Wine", explained a memo.
The site was launched last September and published recently in Spanish, English, Dutch and German.
The site will also have a personalized version for the German market, http://sherry.wine/de, and they are organizing one of the most important promotional strategies for sherry, "The Social Sherry Tasting", where more than 100 fans and professionals will be invited to participate and document their tastings in real time on the social media.
The site will also have a section dedicated to the food of the area and surroundings, with the contributions of chefs and sommeliers of top restaurants in Spain, the US, Australia and Europe, which will be updated on a regular basis with notices, interviews, events, recipes and tips on pairings in all four languages.
