WHICH ARE THE MOST DESIRABLE WINE REGIONS IN THE WORLD? THE UK ONLINE MAGAZINE "DECANTER" CHECKED OUT THE MOST CLICKED TOURIST DESTINATIONS ON GOOGLE IN THE USA AND THE UK. IN ITALY, THE TUSCAN HILLS AND PROSECCO VINEYARDS

Which are the most desired wine regions in the world? To find out, the UK magazine "Decanter" (www.decanter.com), searched the most clicked tourist sights on Google in the US and the UK in 2015. In Italy, the two most searched destinations are Venice, to visit Prosecco vineyards, and Tuscany, starting in Florence to discover the delicious cuisine and the wine-growing region in Chianti Classico, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano.

Italy is not the only country wine lovers wish to visit, though. There is the Peloponnese, in Greece, which the Master of Wine Sarah Jane Evans considers "the perfect vacation for a wine lover" and also Australia, including Chardonnay, Semillon and Shiraz Hunter Valley, New South Wales, and the wine bar of Melbourne in Victoria.
In England, the young cellars of South Downs, the hillsides where UK bubbly wine is cultivated, but also Finger Lakes in Upstate New York, across the world, not too far from Canada, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Cabernet Franc in its most famous wine-making region, Niagara. In Spain, Rioja and Jerez, and the islands of Mallorca and Tenerife, to discover the volcanic wines of Suertes del Marqués.
