BIKING 1.500 KM ACROSS EUROPE IN THE NAME OF PROSECCO, FROM THE HILLS OF VALDOBBIADENE TO BELLAVITA EXPO LONDON (JULY 17 - 19): IT’S THE #PROSECCOTOLONDON - INITIATIVE OF VILLA SANDI, PROSECCO CYCLING AND TREVISO BRAND

Biking 1500 kilometers across Europe in the name of Prosecco is the #ProseccoToLondon, the initiative of Prosecco Cycling and Villa Sandi, in partnership with Tourism Promotion Treviso Brand Consortium and the Treviso Chamber of Commerce. Mike Ramseyer is the cyclist who will bring the bottle of Villa Sandi Prosecco DOCG to the Bellavita London Expo, the largest event dedicated to Italian food and wine in the United Kingdom (July 17-19, www.bellavita.com/it, which will also host the "Best UK Sommelier Villa Sandi Award"), through Switzerland, Germany and France. Ramseyer is English, 62 years old, manager in the field of communications, and has already cycled from England to Italy last fall, to participate in Prosecco Cycling, and now will make the return trip.
“Villa Sandi is increasingly emerging as a premium Prosecco in catering in the UK”, said Giancarlo Moretti Polegato, President of Villa Sandi, “the bottle of Prosecco traveling across Europe is the symbol of a link between the historical production area - the hills of Valdobbiadene - and the country that today is the most important foreign market for Prosecco, which is the wine that today is a symbol of the Italian way of life, winning over the British due to its freshness and light bubbles. Cycling 1500 km is a commitment and effort - the same commitment and hard work required of our wine growers daily on the steep hillside vineyards”.
Mike Ramseyer will leave from Villa Sandi July 9, and is scheduled to arrive in London on July 18th. Mike’s long journey across Europe can be followed, pedal-by-pedal, on social networks (hashtag: #ProseccoToLondon).
