STING, THE SUPER-ROCK STAR (AND WINE PRODUCER ON HIS TUSCAN ESTATE "IL PALAGIO") WILL GO ON A "HYBRID" TOUR - AN INTRIGUING EXAMPLE OF WINE CO-BRANDING, ALTERNATING WINE FAIRS WITH STADIUMS AND ARENAS ON HIS "57TH & 9TH WORLD TOUR"

International tours are daily bread for Gordon Sumner, aka "Sting", legendary frontman and bassist of "The Police", but now, in his second youth, the phenomenal vocalist and bassist has also become a wine producer on his Figline Valdarno Estate, "Il Palagio". So, it must have seemed natural for Sumner to combine business and pleasure, bringing on tour both the songs from his latest album, "57th & 9th", as well as products from his property that will be in a special caravan, following the sound check of his concert tour.
Sting will begin his "musical-rural" tour, as Luciano Ferraro, writer for the newspaper "Corriere della Sera", explained on his blog (divini.corriere.it), not unexpectedly, in Düsseldorf, Germany on March 19th, at the ProWein Trade Fair. Sumner himself and his wife Trudie will personally narrate the history of their Estate wine, olive oil and honey.
The names of their wines easily reveal their origins, like Beppe Rosato 2016, When We Dance 2015, Casino delle Vie 2014 and the "double" Message in a Bottle - white 2016 and red 2015. Not to forget the jewel in the crown, Sister Moon in 2014, which was among the 100 best Italian wines selected last year by the US magazine "Wine Spectator" for OperaWine at Vinitaly in Verona.
Sting’s wine production tour will remain in Germany until March 29th, then it heads south to Switzerland and afterwards to Luxembourg, Belgium, back home in the UK, and it will end in Paris.
