PROWEIN KEEPS ON GROWING ON THE CHESSBOARD OF GREAT WINE FAIRS. THE NUMBERS OF EXHIBITORS AND VISITORS INCREASES EACH YEAR AND IS BECOMING MORE AND MORE IMPORTANT WITH THE PRESENCE OF IMPORTERS AS WELL AS ENTREPRENEURS AND TOP MANAGERS OF WINERIES

ProWein in Düsseldorf (www.prowein.com) has just ended and has proved to be more and more international due to the presence of its exhibitors (Italy, France and Germany lead, but Austria, Argentina, USA, Spain, Chile, Eastern Europe, Greece, New Zealand, Australia and even Asia from China to Japan, India, Thailand and so on, play an important role). It is truly a worldwide fair for traders coming from all over Europe but also America and, increasingly from Asian countries. It is becoming the leading trade fair for international wine markets, confirmed by the presence of the great wine entrepreneurs and top managers of all the most important wineries in Italy and the world.

The German wine fair is playing a more and more important role and growing also due to the fact that it is "neutral ground" for the major producing companies in the world to play the business game, as well as a "hunting ground" where importers and distributors can find the greatest wines from everywhere. And, the logistics are almost perfect, including links to airports, the city, and inside the exhibition center itself. Further, starting in 2019, as the top managers of the fair told WineNews, we will be adding two more pavilions to those already there, which hosted more than 6.500 exhibitors from around the world and 58.000 trade visitors from 130 countries, this year.
The trade fair is almost totally business oriented, which is its real plus, however, it is beginning to open up to opportunities for communication (Sting has launched his Palagio Wine Tour, https://goo.gl/7pmvj3), but also in depth market studies (ProWein - University of Geisenheim study, https://goo.gl/cOuVcm).
The variety of wines allows real and deep discussions about the wines of the world, to understand how a continually changing scenario evolves, while the average quality of many countries is growing rapidly, giving one a realistic vision of the wine market that has fewer and fewer boundaries.
