“A GOOD SONG TELLS A STORY, GOOD WINE TELLS THE STORY OF ALL THE WORKERS THAT PRODUCE IT”, THE SINGER AND PRODUCER STING, TOLD WINENEWS, WHO HONORED THE BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO 2017 “4 STARS” WITH HIS TILE

The “Message in a bottle” arrived loud and clear - from the “Fields of Gold” on which the Brunello di Montalcino vineyards grow, despite the difficulties caused by the spring frost and the summer drought, the 2017 harvest of the great Tuscan red (as WineNews rumors anticipated) is excellent quality, or "4 stars", out of a maximum rating of 5. The star of Benvenuto Brunello, Sting, with his wife Trudie Styler, presented the celebratory tile confirming it.
“We are honored to be here for the first time” they said, unveiling the tile, which represents a stylized guitar. “And furthermore”, said Sting, who together with his wife, has been at the helm of the Il Palagio Estate in Valdarno for twenty years (and, perhaps in homage to Brunello, has launched his first 100% Sangiovese wine, and the label reproduces the same image as the tile, ed.), “a good wine is like a good song. A good song tells a story and a good wine tells the story of those who work the land, take care of it, harvest the grapes, and make the wine. Wine tells you all of this when you open the bottle, when the aromas are released into the air, like a song. Every time I drink wine, I think of all those who produced it, and I thank them”, the singer and former Police front man told WineNews.

He also confessed not only his passion for wine, but also his "devotion" to Italian wine, “I am very loyal to Italian wine. When I drink wine in the United States I drink Italian wine, and it’s the same everywhere I go”, said Sting, “I order Italian wine even in France. I am loyal to it for a reason: I think it is the best”.
