Another “Top 100” of wine: the International Wine Report signs it. 17 Italian labels

The Californian Tor Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon 2016, the Bordeaux Chateau Pichon Lalande Pauillac 2015 and the Spanish Command G Garnacha Tumba del Rey Moro 2015: here is the podium of yet another “Top 100” 2018 dedicated to wines, signed by the International Wine Report, with wines selected based on quality, price and availability on the wine industry.
17 Italian labels, with 5 Brunello di Montalcino, starting with the only Italian wine among the top 10, the Brunello di Montalcino 2013 Poggio di Sotto (ColleMassari group). Followed by another flagship of the territory, the Brunello di Montalcino 2013 of Salvioni, at no. 12, just ahead of the myth Sassicaia 2015 of Tenuta San Guido, at no. 14. Position no. 16 for Le Pergole Torte 2015 of Montevertine, in front of a couple of Sicilians, the Etna Rosso Calmarossa 2015 of Santa Maria La Nave at no. 19, and the Rosso Magma 2016 of Frank Cornelissen.
Position no. 26, instead, for Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2013 by Casanova di Neri, in front of Barolo Ravera 2014 by Vietti, at no. 27, and Etna Rosso Prephylloxera 2016 by Tenuta delle Terre Nere. At no. 37 there is the Tenuta di Trinoro 2015 of Tenuta di Trinoro, then the Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2012 dell'Uccelliera, at no. 46, and the Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta 2013 of Romano dal Forno at no. 48.
The second half of the ranking opens with Barolo Le Vigne 2014 by Luciano Sandrone at number 51, ahead of Etna Rosso Contrada Porcaria (P) 2016 at number 57, and Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Paganelli Riserva 2012 at number 76. To close the list of Italians, finally, there is Il Pollenza 2015 of Il Pollenza, at no. 85, and Il Carbonaione 2015 of Podere Poggio Scalette at no. 86.
