A Wine Observatory of the European Union, in the wake of those already set in place for grain, milk, meat and sugar, which will guarantee greater transparency both for harvesting and production data, and the real values of wine. Data and assessments will be collected on the various markets, from which forecast reports and outlooks will be produced, then published online and available to everyone. The European Commission presented the proposal, which should see the light, along with a Fruit and Vegetables Observatory (which will however focus mainly on tomatoes, apples, citrus fruits and peaches), by the end of the year, to support two industries, which together, are worth 30% of the entire EU agricultural economy: 24.1% from fruit and vegetables, 5.4% from wine.
