The auction season is just around the corner, and we won’t even have to wait for autumn. Zachy’s, which in the coming weeks will beat five collections tested with a total value of 25 million dollars, will open the dances in a few days: on 6 and 7 September, in Hong Kong, is staged “The Ruby Collection Part II and Fine & Rare Wines & Spirits”, which brings under the hammer more than a thousand lots, among which stand out, alongside the great declinations of Burgundy and Bordeaux, the top labels of Italy, the 3 bottles of Barolo Monfortino Riserva Giacomo Conterno 2002 (listed between 19.000 and 28,000 dollars) to the six magnums of Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga Riserva Bruno Giacosa 2000 (34-50,000 dollars), from the 12 bottles of Masseto 1998 (55-80,000 dollars) to the 5 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino Case Basse Soldera 1999 (18-28,000 dollars), from the 8 bottles of Solaia 1999 di Antinori (7-11,00 dollars) to the 4 magnums of Sassicaia 2003 (7,500-11,000 dollars). From Asia to the United States, the next stop is New York, on 19 and 20 September, with the “The Windy City Collection and Fine & Rare Wines” which, according to the rumors of the British magazine “The Drinks Business”, will enchant historic vintages of Barolo such as Aldo Conterno’s 1937 and Monfortino’s 1937. The “White Tie Collection Part II and Fine & Rare Wines” will be held in the Big Apple on 2 and 3 October, while the “The Collection of Ian Mill QC” will be on 26 October”.
