The Ministry of Economic Development has announced, on its website, that it has issued a postage stamp to celebrate “Sannio Falanghina, European Wine City 2019”, which will arrive in Italian Post Offices on September 28th. The stamp will reproduce the official logo “European Wine City 2019”, recognition given to Sannio Falanghina selected from the 800 Recevin (European network of wine cities) Wine Cities, and for the third time awarded to an Italian territory (following Marsala and Conegliano Valdobbiadene). The logo was created by one of the greatest contemporary Italian artists, Mimmo Paladino, painter, sculptor and engraver. The word “Italia” and the price are also indicated on the stamp, which the State Printing Office and Mint will print on sheets of 45 stamps each. Further, as Guidelines for issuing postal cards specify, the image will be published on the day the stamp is issued.
