After Matera, European Capital of Culture, a year of celebrations begins for the “Sannio Falanghina” European City of Wine 2019, European recognition received in Brussels by the municipalities of Castelvenere, Guardia Sanframondi, Sant’Agata dei Goti, Solopaca and Torrecuso, united to promote their territory, by catalyzing the attention of wine lovers and wine tourists to this evocative and rich inland area of Campania, where half of the wine of the Region is produced, and where the vine deeply marks not only the landscape and the economy but also the history, traditions, and culture. The official inauguration, with the ceremony of awarding the flag of the European City of Wine by the president of Recevin, the European Network of Wine Cities, Josè Calixto, on February 16 in Naples. For the mayors, this is “an important path that includes more than 120 events on the agenda, mainly in the Samnite land”.
