CONSTELLATION BRANDS, THE STARS AND STRIPES GIANT OF WORLD WINE, HAS ANNOUNCED A 20 MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT TO BUY 750 ACRES IN THE LODI DELTA IN SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY TO SUPPORTS INCREASE IN SALES OF ITS PREMIUM BRANDS

Constellation Brands, the stars and stripes giant of world wine, has announced an investment of 20 million dollars to buy 750 acres of land in the Lodi Delta area in San Joaquin county, to expand the winemaking facilities and to support the increase in sales of its premium brands in the medium term.

The American giant intends to plant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon: "the need for more land, fermenters, tanks and bottling lines is a direct result of the success of our brands," said Jay Wright, chairman of the U.S. wine group's wine and spirits division. Among the future projects of Constellation Brands, is also the installation of a new Tetra Pak bottling line at its Turner Road Vintners winery in San Joaquin County, demonstrating its commitment to selling wine in cartons.
