THE ARGENTINIAN ENTREPRENEUR ALEJANDRO BULGHERONI TOGETHER WITH THE ITALIAN WINEMAKER ALBERTO ANTONINI HAVE NOW LANDED IN AUSTRALIA AT THE GREENOCK BAROSSA VALLEY FARM, AFTER HAVING INVESTED IN ARGENTINA, URUGUAY, FRANCE, CALIFORNIA AND ITALY

Alejandro Bulgheroni, one of the wealthiest men in the world, has built a wine empire on three continents: Argentina (Vistalba, Tomero and Silver), Uruguay (Bodega Garzón, the recent 85 million dollar investment), France (Château Suau Bordeaux), California (Renwood Winery) and Italy, where he has invested in wineries and over 150 hectares of vineyards in the most important areas in Tuscany (Dievole in Chianti Classico, Poggio Landi and Podere Brizio in the territory of Brunello di Montalcino and over 30 hectares of vineyards in Bolgheri), has landed in Australia, where he purchased the Greenock Farm - 40 hectares in the Barossa Valley, including 12 vineyards of mainly Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and Semillon , which in the future will also cover the rest of the estate's land.
The Australian newspaper "The Lead" (www.theleadsouthaustralia.com.au), reported the news and that the deal closed for 2 million Australian dollars.
The Italian winemaker Alberto Antonini, one of the leading winemakers in the world, and especially in South America, who is Bulgheroni’s consultant for this investment as well as for all the others, said, “of all the options, we really loved Barossa which inspired the most. It is a great terroir and has a great reputation, but what I've tasted so far is not what we think that Barossa is capable of expressing. We will focus on the origin of the grapes and the uniqueness of the place”.
