WINE IS NOT JUST A PRODUCT OF THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE FRUIT OF CULTURAL PROCESSES, WHICH NEED TO COMMUNICATE SIMPLY, LIKE THE FRENCH WEB FORMAT "LES VINS DE CHINEURS" THAT WILL SOON BE ON LINE

There is no question that wine is not just a product of the earth, but also the result of cultural processes. Sometimes, though, narrating, informing and representing it become elitist, high level, a drink for special occasions, taking it farther and farther away from its centuries old origins that made it so popular. Perhaps rightly so, because there is room for everyone in the infinite possibilities of communication, though the young are the most difficult to reach in Italy as well as in France. So, a couple in their thirties, somewhat wine lovers, somewhat connoisseurs, thought of a way to narrate the nectar of Bacchus, "without intellectualizing it too much, because people between 25 and 40 years old do not feel obliged, unlike previous generations, to love wine for social pressure. They want to know more".

They are Thibaut Bourtembourg, sales manager of a French winery, and Maxime Grenade, who does not really know anything about wine, but his friendship with Thibaut since childhood. Armed with a camera and a camper, they traveled around the wine making regions of France for 4 months, listening to and recording the stories of the wine world from 70 small vignerons. The result is a bright and upbeat format, "Les Vins de Chineurs" (literally, chineur is the bargain hunter), which will be online soon (click for the teaser here:
