“Janine is my assistant. This fiasco resembles her in its elegant soft curves and, interestingly, so does the name: dame-Janine, a small damigiana. Janine is my tribute to a timeless icon of Italian history: the fiasco”, Clet Abraham, the French artist famous today for his stickers on road signs that have gone around Italy and the world, explained his reinterpretation of one of the symbols of Tuscan wine, revived by the brand Chianti Ruffino, now part of Constellation Brands. Inspired by the sinuous lines of the glass and the warm texture of the straw, Clet glimpsed in the iconic shape of a fiasco an alluring female face that reveals its sensual smile at the very moment in which the wine, a fragrant and fresh Chianti Superiore, is poured into glasses.
"Today, Ruffino’s idea in this partnership with Clet”, we read in a statement, “is innovation in the footsteps of tradition; without nostalgic brakes but in sacred respect of what the fiasco has contributed as a spokesman for Italian conviviality. The wine produced by Ruffino for this edition is Chianti 2012 "Superior", to respect the historic pairing Chianti / fiasco as well as elevating it in complexity and pleasure”. "Janine Chianti Superiore 2012", will be produced in a limited edition of 6.000, and will be available in a few days in select Italian wine bars and restaurants.
