A united delegation to overcome challenges and dangers and to benefit from the opportunities that new scenarios are offering the Italian wine sector: this is the goal behind the strategic accord between two of the most important Italian wine organizations, Federvini and Confederazione Italiana della Vite e del Vino. They are the political spirit of the Italian Wine Union that have united to face the upcoming battles in the political, economic, and entrepreneurial future of winemaking with a compact, reinforced and united voice.
With the accord confirmed by both of parties, the institutional representation - or the legitimate defense of the interests of companies adhering to both federations - in Italy and abroad will become unified and have greater negotiating power when discussing the numerous proposals that in Rome, and above all in Brussels, are destined to reconstruct the regulatory structure of Italian and European winemaking. The project also foresees a rationalization of services for members and an interaction that will allow for integration to continue to grow.
Federvini president, Piero Mastroberardino, and president of the Confederazione Italiana della Vite e del Vino, Andrea Sartori, responded positively to the course that has been set: “this is an important moment in history for these two associations, which have taken a parallel path for almost a century while at the same time maintaining a non negligible common quota based on their members. The rationalization and the synergy derived from this agreement will allow the two sister companies to be equipped with a much greater institutional weight, with the force of its numbers alone.
Further auspice is that such an aggregation can produce important synergies that will generate increased value for members with the sum of individual assets of these two important entities that represent the interests of this sector. Today, it is necessary to confront the challenges of the market, and promotion, and the legitimate defense of this category with a unity of intent and a unified voice. This is what we will attempt to do thanks to the united efforts of Federvini and Confederazione della Vite e del Vino”.
