The wines of the Marchesi Antinori and the Tenuta San Guido will be the only Italian wines participating in the “Vinoelite” expo to be held in Valencia (Spain) next 18 to 20 April. And along with their participation they will be testing a special glass made for wine tasting, which will be launched for the occasion. The glass, baptized “Coppa Vinoelite”, was designed by J. Ferrer with the help of the most demanding sommelier. With a diameter of 98 millimeters, it is perfectly adapted for the perception of perfumes, a design that helps recognize immediately any eventual defects in the wine.
The new glass will be sold by Rona glassworks, but with an initial limited series of 15,000 units. The Valencia expo is organized by”Primum Familiae Vini”, an international association that includes some of the most noted and prestigious wine producing families worldwide. Alongside labels from Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, and the United States, the two Italian (more precisely Tuscan) labels Antinori and Tenuta San Guido will take their places.
This year, 40 representatives from Master of Wine (the English organization founded in 1955 and considered the forge for the world’s top wine tasters) will also be attending “Vinoelite”.
