CHANGE IN COMPANY MAKE-UP FOR THE AVIGNONESI GROUP (WHICH INCLUDES ‘CLASSICA’ DISTRIBUTIONS AND ‘MASSERIA LI VELI’ OF PUGLIA): ALBERTO FALVO IS THE NEW PRESIDENT AND BELGIAN COMPANY ‘VICTRIX’ A NEW STOCK HOLDER

The historic company from Montepulciano, Avignonesi Group (which includes ‘Classica’ Distributions and ‘Masseria Li Veli’ from Puglia), has undergone an organizational makeover: a recomposition of shareholders with a majority package (70%) in the hands of the Falvo family, and 30% of the ownership going instead to the Belgian company Victrix.
At the head of the group is new president Alberto Falvo, brother of Ettore, the ex-president who has left the family business after having been the protagonist of its success for many years. The operation, which took place in April, was preceded by the expiration of a contract for the co-participation with a private equity fund of Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Classica Distributions.
There will be no changes for the technical/company staff or within the structure of the three companies of the Group, which are to remain independent.

Ettore Falvo’s future projects are yet to be decided, but he will most probably leave the world of wine to dedicate himself entirely to his passion for sailing.
