89 WINERIES TOGETHER FOR AN ALL NATURAL WEEKEND: THE KERMESS OF NATURAL WINES “VIN NATUR” RETURNS TO VILLA FAVORITA ON APRIL 6 AND 7

An impressive 89 wineries (53 from Italy) that are totally dedicated to natural wine production will join for the annual natural wine tasting kermes, “VinNatur” (www.vinnatur.it) at Villa La Favorita (Vicenza) on April 6 and 7.
Indisputably the most important organic wine expo in Europe, both for its numbers and for its types of wines, Villa Favorita reunites both Italian and foreign winemakers who have the common goal of sharing techniques and experiences for producing wine with natural methods, as well as to diffuse the culture of “terroir”.
The 2008 edition is not to be missed, in particular, for an exceptional guided tasting of selected vintages of the Valentini label, entitled “Omaggio ad Edoardo”, in memory of wine producer Edoardo Valentini, who passed away two years ago. Supporting and remembering his intense efforts, and keeping his convictions alive are, in fact, the primary goals of the tasting that will include four vintages of Trebbiano d’Abruzzo (1987, 1990, 1999, 2000) and two vintages of Montepulciano (1988 and 2000).
All earnings made during “VinNatur” will go entirely to charity: the association supports a fund for a community program in the Ivory Coast called “Progetto Alépé”, run by Suor Tiziana and the Comunità di Monticello di Fara (www.progettoalepe.org).
