ITALIAN MINISTERS CASTRO AND TURCO RESPOND TO THE “VELENITALY” SCANDAL: “INVESTIGATIONS CONFIRM THAT IT IS A SWINDLE THAT INCLUDES JUST A FEW MALEFACTORS… BUT THAT RISKS DAMAGING THE ENTIRE SECTOR”

In response to the “Velenitaly” wine scandal that recently erupted in Italy, Italian Minister of Agriculture Paolo De Castro, and Minister of Health, Livia Turco stated: “The investigations that are underway confirm that this is a swindle that includes just a few malefactors (who were already under the eye of officials for suspicious activities), but which regards the organoleptic quality of the product and risks damaging the entire sector”.
