Pro and anti prohibition politicians and bureaucrats continue to fight over the consumption of alcohol, giving out vetoes and BAC percents against excessive drinking. In the meantime, here is a story that shows that moderation is the best way. The story is about Antonio Argiolas, a Sardinian gentleman, 102 years old, who has a truly intimate relationship with wine.
He founded the Argiolas Cellars (and is still the President), one of the top wine cellars in Sardinia, which brought to fame great wines like the red wine Turriga and the white wine Angialis. What’s the secret of his longevity? No boring prohibitions nor foolish excesses, but two glasses of wine a day, always. What better testimonial for the conference “Wine is health: drink well, drink in moderation” organized today by Argiolas at the University of Cagliari? Information: www.argiolas.it
