To celebrate the Italian premiere of the film ‘New Moon’, the sequel to ‘Twilight’, the Vino Nobile Consortium of Montepulciano presented a limited series wine label. The project, explained the consortium, was created due to the great attention that was given to Montepulciano and its products after part of the movie was filmed there. The cult following that has been created by the vampire movie series created a frenzy while the film-makers were filming on location in the Tuscan town of Montepulciano last summer.
Paolo Solini, director of the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Consortium, stated, “The kiss between the two protagonists, one of the most important scenes of the movie, was filmed in the Piazza Grande of Montepulciano. There is a lot of interest because it is an almost indescribable mass phenomenon for thousands of fans who came to Montepulciano. And, on the crest of this enthusiasm, the city and the Vino Nobile Consortium have organized to best welcome these fans who will arrive in Montepulciano after the film has been released…”.
