The prestigious Michelin Guide has added another restaurant to the list of five restaurants in Italy that have received the guide’s top three-star rating. The newest sixth entry is “Da Vittorio” in the northern town of Brusaporto (Bergamo).
The three-star restaurants in Italy, however, still do not match up to those that exist in France, which boasts thirty three star restaurants. The two star rating did increase this year from 34 to 37 restaurants, but those that received one star fell from 237 to 229. The total number of establishments that were reviewed also fell by 460 for a total of 6,306 restaurants, hotels, and agri-tourisms.
The six three-star restaurants in Italy are: “Al Sorriso” in Soriso (Novara), “Dal Pescatore” in Canneto sull’Oglio (Mantova), “Le Calandre” in Rubano (Padova), “Enoteca Pinchiorri” in Florence, “La Pergola” in Roma, and “Da Vittorio” in Brusaporto (Bergamo).
