ITALIAN CUISINE IS THE MOST LOVED IN EUROPE, REVEALS A SURVEY ON THE GERMAN TOURIST PORTAL “ZOOVER”. SPAIN, FRANCE, GREECE AND GERMANY ALSO IN THE “TOP FIVE”

Europeans first love is Italian cuisine, followed by Spanish, while French Haute cuisine comes in only at third place. More than half voted for Italian food.

The survey conducted by the German travel portal “Zoover” with a sample of 10.500 European tourists, revealed that Italian cuisine is the number one favorite (24%), ahead of Spain (14%), France (13%), Greece (12%), Germany (9%), Belgium and Turkey (6%), Poland (5%), Austria and the Netherlands (3%) and England (2%), while the very last place goes to Sweden (1%). Pasta and pizza are the favorite foods in Germany where Italy ranks first with 29% of the vote, ahead of German (18%) and Austrian (14 %) cuisines.
At table the Germans put France in fifth place with 9%, even after Turkey (10%), while after France comes Greece (7%), Spain (6%) Poland (3%) and tied for last place the Netherlands, Belgium and England (1%).
