Merano WineFestival 2026, towards edition No. 35 of historical kermesse invented by Helmuth Köcher

While some are thinking about the harvest season that is just beginning and others are enjoying their August holidays, in the wine world there are already those planning for the near future. Among them, there is the Merano WineFestival by Helmuth Köcher, which is already preparing for its edition No. 35, scheduled to take place from November 6th to 10th, 2026. For one of the wine sector longest-running and most prestigious events, the festival continues to attract a select audience of industry professionals and enthusiasts, while also reaching a much broader public thanks to major media partnerships. These include WineNews, as well as local newspapers such as “Alto Adige” and “Dolomiten”, and national media outlets including Radio Monte Carlo, RaiNews24 (Rai “all-news” channel), and “Il Gusto” of “La Repubblica”.
The renowned Art Nouveau-style Kurhaus will once again host “five days dedicated to selections from The WineHunter Guide, featuring both established highlights and new developments, united by a common thread celebrating beauty and elegance. The spotlight will be on the WineHunter Award, with special attention given to the Platinum labels, representing the pinnacle of the selections curated by Helmuth Köcher and the tasting commissions”, explains a note.
