An “Olympic Wine Route”, which, in 2026, links Milan and Cortina, places of the Winter Olympics, proposing “a route through the territories of wine, stopping in the cellars from Milan to Cortina, place of the Winter Olympics, and creates a new type of tourism of wine-related to winter sports”. Here the words of President Donatella Cinelli Colombini, the idea was born from the confrontation between Donne del Vino and the Milan Wine Week which, in the intentions, will involve the wineries of Lombardy, Veneto, and Trentino, through some of the most prestigious wine territories of the North West of the country. First of all, shortly after leaving Milan, the nearby Franciacorta, therefore, Bardolino, a must before passing through Valpolicella and Verona, city of Vinitaly and nerve center of wine relations, before heading north, through the rows of Prosecco, and then arrive in Cortina d’Ampezzo, a stone’s throw from the highest vineyards in Europe, between Veneto and Trentino.
