Armand de Brignac (www.armanddebrignac.com) is the number one Champagne, outclassing Louis Roederer’s Cristal and Dom Perignon, in discos and clubs around the world, especially stars of rap music.
It has been a must for some years now and is better known as "Ace of Spades" (the symbol on the bottle). Maybe it’s because of the exorbitant price combined with outstanding packaging, but the "Dynastie Collection", which is the collection of large-formats, strictly gold-plated, magnum to Nebuchadnezzar, costs something like 500,000 US Dollars. The American rap star, singer and producer Jay-Z is one of the biggest fans. In 2006, Sovereign Brands (www.sovereignbrands.com) launched the brand (produced by the Cattier family) on the market, and a few bottles appeared in the video of Jay-Z’s single, "Show Me What You Got".
Two years ago, Jay-Z bought an entire collection of 350 bottles for charity. Today the rapper has decided to buy his favorite brand. The confirmation, but no mention of amount, came directly from the New York based company that owns the trademark, Sovereign Brands, that said: “We are extremely proud of what we have built with Armand de Brignac. In less than eight years since we launched the brand, it has become a must in every top club in the world, receiving rave reviews by critics and becoming one of the most popular luxury Champagnes, and in a very short time winning a great deal of credibility in a world in which it is not easy to emerge. We have had a wonderful with relationship Jay-Z over the years, starting with his first approach to Armand de Brignac.
He has wanted to buy the brand for some time and in the end made us an offer we just could not turn down. We are sure that Armand de Brignac will continue to grow and prosper, and we will continue to do what we do best: create and launch brands that stand out in the world of wine & spirits”.
