The world is changing at a dizzying pace and speed and many people are struggling to keep up with this change. The wine world, especially in terms of communication, is no exception, especially if when one considers an already existing problem in the industry, that is, self-reference. The problem lies not only with the recipients of messages but also but also with "producers of ideas," which come almost always from inside the wine world.
Hack-Wine, a 24-hour non-stop on-line marathon (www.hackwine.eventbrite.it) to be held March 1st – 2nd focused on exchanging views and ideas super brain-storming entirely dedicated to the development of digital projects and ideas related to wine, sponsored by H-Farm, a digital platform founded with the goal of helping young entrepreneurs launch initiatives in the Internet sector, in collaboration with Vinitaly International, the overseas operating branch of Vinitaly and Verona Fiere (www.vinitalyinternational.com).
The aim is to help operators of traditional business find new ideas and new approaches to the market by using digital tools. On this occasion, thanks to Vinitaly’s support, the most important brands of the Made in Italy wine sector will put themselves on the line with young people willing to take up the challenge thrown down by the brands themselves to find new ideas, new formats, new languages and messages to innovate wine communication, but not only in Italy. The teams that present the best projects will win a prize offered by each company, and have the opportunity to become a part of H-Camp, the intensive accelerated program of H-FARM. They will then be able to further develop their project and begin to give life to their own enterprise (or small innovative company.
"I'm really happy that a company like Vinitaly has decided to cooperate with us for the realization of this marathon by sharing their experience and expertise with young people”, said Riccardo Donadon, founder of H –Farm. “It's great to be united with the desire to build something innovative and unique for young people, who increasingly need to understand the business world and at the same time have the opportunity to create and contribute to the development of new ideas”. “ This is a great window of opportunity for the world of Italian wine”, said Stevie Kim, managing director of Vinitaly International. "Until today promotion and communication in the wine world has been more or less the same and has remained unchanged for many years. Our intent with H-ACK Wine is to instill an element of novelty and renewal to the system of communication and promotion of Italian wine”.
Another arrow that Vinitaly is putting into the Italian wine world’s quiver, like the many projects it has created and supported in recent years, is Vinitaly International Importer Connect, the online b2b platform to bring together manufacturers and importers, launched on an experimental basis during the last stop of Vinitaly in New York, with encouraging results since the sample wineries, in just a few weeks, have registered more than 50 contacts...
