New York Wine Experience signed “Wine Spectator”: the great Italian wine protagonist

57 wineries of the Belpaese selected for the event (17-19 October), focus on Sassicaia, Castello di Volpaia, Terre Nere, Farinetti and Bolgheri

The promotion of wine never stops, and even in the summer listlessness, waiting for the harvest, events and appointments, such as the “New York Wine Experience” signed “Wine Spectator”, on stage from 17 to 19 October, one of the most important and expected wine events in the United States, the No. 1 market for the world and Italian wine, are on the agenda. Among many great wines from all over the world, selected by the American magazine, as always, there will be the excellence of Italy, protagonists not only of the walk-around tasting in the halls of the Marriot Marquis, along the famous Broadway but also of seminars on the subject, such as the one, over several days, dedicated to the ten best wines of the “Top 100” 2018 of “Wine Spectator”, where the Belpaese will be a great protagonist starting from the absolute number 1, the Sassicaia 2015 of Tenuta San Guido, which will be presented on October 19 by Priscilla Incisa della Rocchetta, while in the morning, among others, will be in the spotlight the Chianti Classico Riserva 2015 of Castello di Volpaia, at number 3 in the ranking, which will be presented by the producer Federica Mascheroni Stianti. On Thursday 18 October, however, there will be Etna San Lorenzo 2016 of the Tenuta delle Terre Nere, in the glass and in the words of Marco de Grazia. There will be also Oscar Farinetti, selected among the “Wine Stars”, with his winery in Barolo, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, which will be told in the glass with the Barolo Riserva 2019. While still on the closing day, Friday, October 19, just before the tasting of Sassicaia, focus on the territory of Bolgheri, one of the most well-shaped and prestigious of Italy’s wine, with four wineries and wines icon, the Messorio 2015 of Le Macchiole presented by producer Cinzia Merli, the Ornellaia Bolgheri Superiore 2015 presented by winemaker Axel Heinz, the Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2015, served and unveiled by the owner of the estate, the Austrian entrepreneur Stanislaus Turnauer, and the Bolgheri Superiore Guado al Tasso 2015 of the Bolgheri Antinori family winery, which will be presented by the president of the historic Tuscan reality, Albiera Antinori.
And then there are the 57 top wineries selected for the Critics’ Choice Grand Tasting, on stage on 17 and 18 October, with many of the most important names in Italy, the most loved in the glasses of American wine lovers.
